We created a magazine called Pocket GUM for GU. The concept and design was a collaboration between members of staff and Freelance Art Director Peter Stitson (who worked for Dazed & Confused for 5 years) and the third in a series of Grand Union Magazines.  http://issuu.com/grandunion/docs/pocketgum

We concepted and took these photos for the launch of the new GU website. The brief was to make the GU site about the people. We devised some props (a large and small frame) to allow people to explore different ways of expressing themselves. No-one really likes being photographed (apart from a couple of posers) so we wanted to distract people and make them feel more comfortable. We ended up with some quite interesting results!

Last month I went to my first Secret cinema event, held at an old converted Tobacco factory in Wapping. Inside they recreated the streets from the 1940s with Jazz Bars and dance classes, market stalls and old show dressing rooms. As I walked in I met this unlikely chap, who I later realised was the Shoemaker from Hans Christian Andersen’s story The Red Shoes. I caught him adding his final makeup. I started life drawing again a few weeks ago and behold this is a fruit of my labour. I try to hide once a week at the Candid Arts centre in Angel where I dirty my fingers, sip Black Chai tea and like to pretend I’m living the mellow life of an artist ;)
