This was my entry for a competition held by everybodyshout, a shesays collective for Karlsson’s Vodka. The brief was asking for entrants to create something non-advertising for the brand. I received 2nd prize community choice for this piece of product design. Client choice pending…
Karlsson’s Gold Vodka will be served in bars in Potato Stamp Shot Glasses.
Challenge: Bring to life ‘Good ideas should be left unfiltered’.
Insight: Karlsson’s Gold Vodka is closer to it’s root ingredient than any other vodka as it is only filtered once.
Idea: Mark how unfiltered the taste of the Swedish Potato Vodka is.
Solution: Karlsson’s Gold Vodka will be served in bars in Potato Stamp Shot Glasses.
Shots will be served on an ink pad so when you’ve finished your shot you can seal your approval of unfiltered taste.
The bar tops will be decorated with gold paper for people to stamp their shot glasses on. The bases of the shot glasses will have the Gold Vodka logo or the leaf so people can create patterns. This experience will draw attention from other Vodka drinkers who want to get involved in this playful routine of drinking and highlight the root taste of the Vodka.
I met the guys recently in NewYork too:
Currently i’ve been fleshing out the concept to be put up for client choice. I’m investigating the use of UV ink for the stamps and a mat to stamp on that tweets every time someone stamps to promote people drinking Karlsson’s vodka.
